All the books are published by Jaygee Maker and are designed for non verbal communicators who use symbols for communication. It teaches them to become familiar with the symbols by the repetition in each sentence. It also allows the reader to recognise different symbols. It supports their understanding of different symbols and allows them to communicate with others. All the symbols in the books are on the last page, which is designed for the reader to create and practice their own sentences.

Teachers, Educators and Whanau will have more understanding of core communication and they will have tools they can use to support their nonverbal communicators to learn a way to communicate through core symbols. Nonverbal communicators will have a sense of belonging and mana to be able to have access to reading books that identify their chosen communication tool.
